Cook Islands issued a silver 5 dollars coin holding a piece of the Brenham pallasite meteorite.
The obverse of this silver medal shows a silent rural scene in the night, above it a brilliant fireball and the full Moon. On the ground a small piece of Brenham pallasite meteorite is attached. Legend is: "BRENHAM PALLASITE METEORITE", and date below 2007.
The reverse follows the usual design of Cook Islands coins, the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, and the face value of the coin: "5 DOLLARS". The coin has a 38.61 mm diameter, 25 gram weight. It was made of 925 fine silver with proof technique and was minted in 2500 pcs., according to its certificate.
