Maybe the only one medal that displays the geomerty of a lunar eclipse is the token of René Robert, mayor of Angers, France.

René Robert was lord of Marchais (1673-1753) and mayor of city Angers, France (1715-1729). He was elected seven times and during his 14 years as a mayor he issued three tokens. One of them that was issued in 1724 depicts a lunar eclipse. A design is textbook like. The Sun face casts shadow of Earth to the Moon. The text around “FORMAE TE REDDO PRIORI.” means give back to original form. The first meaning of this text is astronomical, the Moon gets back its original shape after the eclipse has been passed. But there must be a second meaning because I guess this in not a simple educational token. Unfortunately this second meaning remains in shadow at the moment. Below in exergue "PRAEFECT. IV" may refer to his fourth cycle as a mayor, date 1724.

On the obverse a coat of arms is displayed, possible of René Robert.
