Not too much is known about this medal, except what can be read on it.
Saturn dominates on the obverse of this medal, that was issued by GD/FWRA astronomy society. Unfortunately even Google failed to resolve what these letters stand for. Also the number 62 has an unknown meaning. Legend above is: "62 MERITORIOUS SERVICE", below: "GD/FWRA ASTRONOMY SOCIETY AND AMATEUR ASTRONOMY".
The reverse shows an observatory, telescope, rocket, a photographic equipment. Legend above is: "AD ASTRA", i. e. to the stars. Below: "SCIENTIA OMNIA VINCIT", i. e. the science always win.
